The Oxford Hills School District - MSAD #17 is looking for a qualified individual for our open Athletic Trainer position.

 

We are looking for a dedicated person who will be invested in the success of our students/athletes. The Athletic Trainer will work with medical professionals and coaches to evaluate the athletes condition, establish plans for diet, fitness, conditioning, treatment and track progress towards healthy fitness goals and recovery from injuries. You should be motivated to assist athletes, coaches, and families  towards realizing their full potential. You must possess a strong understanding of sports related injuries and treatment.

 

 

REPORTS TO: Athletic Director, Superintendent of Schools, Team Physician 

QUALIFICATIONS: NATA Certification Required 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Preferred two years of successful experience as an athletic trainer or similar experience 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree, Masters degree preferred

The Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School (MSAD17) employs a Certified Athletic Trainer available to all students/athletes and teams at OHCHS. The role of the Athletic Trainer is to manage student/athlete injuries and assist in the injury prevention and treatment for the student/athletes. The Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer will communicate a coverage schedule for most athletic home events.

 

Coaches are expected to coordinate, communicate and work with the Athletic Trainer. Head coaches should be the primary, and often the only,  contact between the athletic trainer and the team. However, the Head Coach can designate an Asst. Coach to be the (POC)

MSAD 17 shares vocational resources and accepts students in its Oxford Hills Technical School programs from the RSU10 School District towns of Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner. Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education is located within the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

The area boasts more than ten lakes and ponds for outdoor recreation, a land trust with hundreds of acres for skiing, snowshoeing, and is in close proximity to several downhill skiing areas!
