Special Education Social Worker
The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent candidates for the position of Special Education Social Worker for Oxford elementary school in Oxford, ME.
Oxford Elementary School serves approximately 350 students in grades PreK - 6. The successful candidate will be a compassionate professional who believes that all children can learn at high levels. A background in PBIS, the workshop model and an intentional commitment to student engagement is a plus.Application Deadline: When Suitable Candidate is Found
Candidates must hold a valid Maine LCSW, LMSW-cc, LCPC, or LCPC-c license.
Must be able to build positive relationships with students and staff and work well as part of a team.
A deep understanding of child development and social emotional learning is required.
Experience with children with mental health and behavioral concerns is preferred.

Work Schedule: 180 Day Contract

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The clinician will provide direct services to students requiring such services per their IEP. The clinician will provide consultation to special education teachers to address the students’ identified social, emotional and behavioral needs. This position requires the clinician to be an active member of a special education team, engage in home/school communication and maintain accurate data and records that are relevant to planning, implementation, and evaluation of school social work services.
The clinician will demonstrate the core values of service, social justice, importance of human relationships, dignity and worth of the student, integrity and competence. The clinician will adhere to the professional ethics and responsibilities in their code of ethics.
The clinician will have knowledge of and comply with all local, state and federal mandates related to informed consent, privacy and confidentiality.

OXFORD HILLS REGION
The Oxford Hills School District (MSAD 17) comprises the towns of Norway, South Paris, West Paris, Oxford, Waterford, Harrison, Hebron and Otisfield. MSAD 17 shares vocational resources and accepts students in its Oxford Hills Technical School programs from the RSU10 School District towns of Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner. Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education is located within the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
