- High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrates aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities
- Oil burner service, plumbing and/or electricians license (Journey Man’s or Masters)
- Excellent driving record
- Experience preferred
- Copy of Current License (Journey Man’s or Masters)
- Ability to obtain a Criminal History Record Check(CHRC) through the Maine Department of Education
REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities and Assistant Facilities Director
JOB GOAL: To maintain the school facilities and grounds in a pleasant, clean and safe condition that is conducive to learning.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 52 week full time position - Hourly rate from $26.41 - $29.78 per hour dependent on experience; position is under the Oxford Hills Educational Support Personnel Association Contract which can be viewed here.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the District’s mission and goals.
- Oversees other maintenance workers and contractors in licensed fields.
- Performs assigned repair and maintenance work on buildings and grounds.
- Responds to building and grounds emergencies.
- Oversees the maintenance of the District’s heating and cooling systems, as assigned.
- Removes snow and ice, as assigned.
- Helps in maintaining an effective and efficient system of routine maintenance and preventive care for the District’s buildings and grounds.
- Advises appropriate administrator of future repair needs and services to District buildings and grounds.
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs, also may be doing twisting, bending, standing, walking, climbing while working.
- Assumes such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director or designee.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine checks, inspections, and maintenance on various equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing issues with electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other building components.
- Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining various equipment like trucks, forklifts, and power tools used in maintenance and repair tasks.
- General Maintenance: Performing tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and other general maintenance duties.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
- Assistance with Events: Setting up and tearing down furniture and equipment for events.
- Snow Removal: Assisting with snow removal as needed.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Facilities and Facilities Foreman.

OXFORD HILLS REGION
The Oxford Hills School District (MSAD 17) comprises the towns of Norway, South Paris, West Paris, Oxford, Waterford, Harrison, Hebron and Otisfield. MSAD 17 shares vocational resources and accepts students in its Oxford Hills Technical School programs from the RSU10 School District towns of Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner. Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education is located within the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
