Description

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent candidates for Anticipated main Office Secretary for Paris Elementary School in South Paris, Maine.  

 

 

Paris Elementary School is located in South Paris and serves approximately 400 students in grades PreK-6. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with their colleagues to encourage, inspire, and support the learning process for all students.

 

OXFORD HILLS SCHOOL DISTRICT

 

TITLE: School Secretary

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent

  1. Computer proficiency required
  2. Human relations skills
  3. Organizational skills
  4. Experience preferred

 

REPORTS TO: Principal or designee

 

JOB GOAL: To provide for the effective and efficient operation of the office so that the maximum positive impact on the education of students can be realized.            

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports the District’s mission and goals.
  2. Oversee, manages and evaluates the office routines and procedures associated with a productive and efficient office.
  3.  Schedules appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews, as directed by the Principal or designee.
  4. Maintains confidentiality.
  5. Welcomes visitors, provides routine information and directs inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  6. Maintains such student records as required.  Keeps necessary files updated and accessible.
  7. Enrolls new students, where appropriate.
  8. Assumes responsibility for the overall appearance of the office.
  9. Maintains a record of budget and petty cash monies, as well as separate school accounts in coordination with the Central Office business staff.
  10. Dispense medication to students and administrators.  First aid as assigned by the   Principal or designee
  11. Performs other tasks assigned by the Principal or designee.

OXFORD HILLS REGION

The Oxford Hills School District (MSAD 17) comprises the towns of Norway, South Paris, West Paris, Oxford, Waterford, Harrison, Hebron and Otisfield. MSAD 17 shares vocational resources and accepts students in its Oxford Hills Technical School programs from the RSU10 School District towns of Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner. Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education is located within the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

 

The Oxford Hills offer a variety of outdoor resources for anyone wishing to enjoy the region, whatever the season. The area boasts more than ten lakes and ponds for outdoor recreation, a land trust with hundreds of acres for skiing, snowshoeing, and is in close proximity to several downhill skiing areas! Community support for Oxford Hills athletics and extracurricular activities is very strong and represents the robust regional commitment to the students and schools within the district.
