Guy E. Rowe is a community school located in the heart of Norway.

Qualifications for a part-time custodian:
High school diploma or equivalent, Basic cleaning experience preferred, will train the right person. Ability to lift heavy objects, Attention to detail and ability to work independently, and Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks.
Custodians are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a facility by performing routine cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, sanitizing restrooms, and replenishing supplies, typically working a flexible schedule with less than full-time hours, often during off-peak times; they may also perform minor maintenance checks and report any issues to the head custodian
Examples of responsibilities of a part-time custodian may include:
- General cleaning:
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuuming carpets
- Dusting furniture and surfaces
- Emptying trash and recycling bins
- Cleaning windows and mirrors
- Restroom maintenance:
- Cleaning toilets, sinks, and stalls
- Restocking paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces
- Floor care:
- Spot cleaning spills
- Waxing and buffing floors (as needed)
- Carpet shampooing (as needed)
- Maintenance checks:
- Inspecting building equipment for proper functioning
- Reporting any maintenance issues to supervisor
- Changing light bulbs
- Safety procedures:
- Following proper chemical handling protocols
- Adhering to safety guidelines when using cleaning equipment
- Wear PPE (personal protective equipment)
