Anticipated Opening - Electrical Instructor
The Oxford Hills Technical School (Maine Vocational Region 11) enrolls over 500 students from 11 towns in Western Maine. OHTS is seeking a dedicated individual to create and implement our newest program training the Electricians of tomorrow! The program will be based in a new building specifically being constructed for this program.
This full-time position will begin on August 20, 2024 and entail 182 work days of the school year through June of 2025. The Electrical Instructor will create a safe learning environment that encourages student engagement, while effectively delivering the program curriculum to prepare students to take the Journeymen’s license exam, after successfully completing two years in the program.
The successful candidate will possess a desire to work with young people, previous experience training or mentoring Journeymen electricians, and a Maine Master Electrician’s license. The position includes medical insurance and other benefits, and has a salary range of $48,000 – $70,000 per year based on the level of education and years of experience in the trade.
